RE

Subject Leader: Miss Young

At Ley Hill school we believe in the importance of Religious Education and it's ability to help children understand their own beliefs and have respect for those of other people. We think that children should be supported to talk openly about their feelings and thoughts about a variety of topics and use this to help shape the person they are.

We follow the Bucks Agreed syllabus for RE (please see link attached) and have organised our teaching into a variety of topics.

Within each topic children are taught what this means to them, what this means to other people and what this means in the context of the wider world.

Each Year group focused on particular world religions within the topics, but also makes reference to any religions that the children in the class may belong to - allowing them to share their experiences against each of these topics.
