Open Morning

Thank you to all the parents who came to share in our children's learning today. We hope you enjoyed getting to see what your children have been up to and look forward to sharing more in the summer term.

Spring 1

Welcome back to a new school term. We have lots of exciting things to learn in 2022.

Our topic this term is 'Friend or Foe?'. Have a look at our topic grid to see what we will learn.

Animal Workshop

How brave all the children were! They stroked ferrets, a giant African snail, a tortoise, the prickles of a white hedgehog as well as a lizard. The owl called Pig Widgeon (named after Ron's in Harry Potter) had the most amazing yellow eyes. All the children loved the hour-long workshop, looking on in awe and wonder throughout.

Dinosaur hunt

We went over to Crabtree farm to hunt for dinosaurs!

Autumn 2

This half terms topic is 'Can you tell us a story?'

We will be reading lots of different fairy tales and then retelling them through role play, story maps and writing.

Prickly Hay

We had a lovely walk to the church

Hot chocolate treat

We have worked so hard this term that we have managed to earn our marble treat. We choose a delicious hot chocolate treat!

Winter Olympics event

EYFS open morning

Thank you to all the families who came to our open morning. We had a wonderful time sharing our learning with you and hope you enjoyed it too.

Autumn Term 2021

This half term our topic is "All about me"

We will be learning about our family members, describing people who are familiar to us and talking about the things we like.

In maths we will be focussing on matching, sorting and comparing. Our PSHE focus is 'Being me in my world' and in RE we will be looking at 'Special People'

By the end of the half term we have a challenge: To create a collage all about ourselves.

Keep checking back to see how we are getting on.

Our visit to Crabtree Farm

This week we have been learning about being healthy. We learnt about how to brush our teeth and what foods are healthy or unhealthy for us to eat.

This week our class were practising their photography skills and they took photos of their friends playing. Taking photos is part of our IT curriculum.

A visit from our local police officers

What we have been learning:

Have a look at some of the things we have been up to; painting pictures of ourselves, reading and challenging ourselves on the trim trail! It's been an amazing week!
