At Ley Hill, we have generated our own bespoke writing map across the whole school. This writing map, develops breadth and balance of a variety of genres, whilst also ensuring children are taught and re-cap key punctuation and grammar skills. The children also advance in their composition skills through the different years. At ley Hill we use the Nelson Handwriting scheme to ensure consistency in children's presentation runs from Reception all the way through to year 6.
